Date: Sunday, April 24 @ 17:54:16 CDT Topic: US Public Lands
The Apache Creek Wilderness is located in the Prescott National Forest in Arizona.
Rolling hills of juniper and pinion interspersed with granite outcrops characterize this small, remote and relatively rugged wilderness. Established in 1984, the 5,420-acre Apache Creek Wilderness features three natural springs and several important riparian areas including Apache Creek. Elevations range between 5,200 feet and 7,200 feet and the area provides excellent habitat for mountain lion and numerous bird species.
There are no maintained wilderness trails or public access points currently in existence. It is recommended that topographic maps be studied prior to a visit.
